Ciancaglini Studio NEWS!

CONGRADULATIONS to my New York student, Hannah Young Schoonover. She auditioned and was selected to play Principal Bassoon in the Finger Lakes Music Educators Assocition All County Festival. The FLMEA All County bands and orchestras are amde up of the best students in Ontario, Yates, Senece and Wayne Counties in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate / Western New York, inbetween Rochester and Syracuse On Janurary 29th she will pweform selections from Bizet's Carmen! A major challenge even for the most advanced professional. I have been working with her on Carmen and she is sounding superb. I will be an exciting concert. Good Job HANNAH!

Hannah Young Schoonover is a 9th student at Geneva High School, Geneva, New York. She is the only Bassoonist in her school. her band director is Steve Palumbo. Hannah has been a student of mine for over 2 years. She started Bassoon at the end of 7th grade.

 

Kudos to Joe McNulty, of Annandale, VA, for completing his first Solo and Ensemble Fest solo. Joe performed the first movement of Besozzi's Sonata in Bb.

Joe is entering the 8th grade at Robert Frost Middle School in Fairfax, VA. His band director is Kosko. He began studying the Bassoon in Italy in the 6th grade.
